This is a study on “Insurmountable Odds.” Test, challenges, and biblical accounts of some of our biblical ancestors who faced odds in their lives that were logically and mathematically against them. The visible outcome did not seem to be in their favor. Although some of the stories highlighted in this quarter’s lesson plan will involve the same biblical ancestors as our previous study “Closer” in most cases, this lesson plan will present a much deeper perspective. Additionally, each week you will be presented with a personal challenge that will encourage you to move from admiration of the character highlighted to an examination of your own decisions. With so many insurmountable odds facing us a people and as a faith movement, we need to know that God Yahweh is still our source of trust. The stories and questions in this unit are designed to remind you and confirm that truth.
